The poems lay patient in the bin
awaiting a new chance to shine.
Forgotten till some idle rifle
through the records found
a tale of Christmas, rather classic,
and spread it all around!
Two poems by J.R.R. Tolkien were found in the Oxfordshire, Our Lady’s School. One went on to become one of Tom Bombadil’s stories. The other was a traditional Christmas poem.
